Valentine’s Day Poems <3

I always found it different.

Fingers intertwined.

Rosy smiles mixed with cocky smirks.

It seemed so silly—

So unnecessary.

In fact, it was so reckless—

So foolish that I became obsessed with it.

A hopeless romantic falling in love.

Who would’ve thought?

- Love is captivating.

I’m romantic, cheesy, and vibrant—

You’re the same, but in different tones.

A cat lover and a dog lover.

Brown meets blue.

I can’t tell who’s dark and who’s light.

It’s all mixed together now.

- Our interconnection lies deeper than yin and yang.

I’ve never gotten to hold you before, so why do I know what it feels like?

- I always knew it would be you.

I kissed your cheek so often that it eventually left a permanent indent.

- Dimples <3

I’ve secluded my heart to a place of strength and purpose—

Although, ever since I met you it’s sole purpose has been to beat for you.

- I have no choice but to trust you.

Attentive eyes meeting in the midst of attraction.

- They were dark brown and warm.

I’m so scared of falling in love, but I can’t help it when it’s you.

- Because I will always choose you.

From the moment your voice rang in my ears I was terrified I’d fall in love with you.

The second our eyes met I knew I would.

- Disclaimer, I was right.
